It didn't used to be as bad. Back in the day, food didn't degenerate nearly as quickly. Also, the "restoration" prayer used to replenish your food to full. But Bjorn decided that was stupid and removed it causing maybe 75 percent of the server including myself to switch to Bile so that we didn't run out of food every 20 seconds.
