Generic New Level Thread Title

Alright now that I've brought you in, here is a part of a gmap (FC Dungeon, if you are familiar with Zodiac) I was working on. Now keep in mind that levels aren't my forte as I am more of a scripter.
I know where the water cliffs connect to land is a pretty obvious tile error but if someone could make a tile to fix that for me that would be great. Constructive criticisms are welcome :) |

The layout behind the level is decent, it's not bad at all. However on the lower lower of the cliff you have too many blocking objects in the player's path. These are very annoying to navigate through, I suggest moving them up against the cliff or just getting rid of them.
The little cliff on the top right isn't supposed to really exist, it just happens to come out that way if you shorten it too much...but that's just my own personal thing. The house is very "Zodiac" (+ points for consistency I suppose). I can't help too much with it because I'm not very good with buildings but it doesn't seem very attractive. Overall it's an ok level. I circled normal/major (what I consider normal/major anyway) tile errors for you to see and try to fix. Attachment 48480 I can fix the thing on the south to look less like a tile error but there's no "real" fix for it. I can also fix the errors all over the level as they're quick fixes. Added level in attachment, I didn't tile the house myself I was just working around with the cliff layout and house that was already present.

Those, 'man, there just aren't any tile combinations to make that look even remotely right!' moments are perfect for custom tiles and addtiledef2.

Fixed the bottom to the way I usually do it, it's still a bit "meh" but oh well.
Fixed the cliff tile errors. Took off the blocking tiles, although I just found out the level is on the bottom right...oh well. I tried fixing the house up a little bit, hope it's not too bad. |
Thanks for the help again! Pretty much just uploaded the revision above except that i moved the desert pillar towards the cliff edge to keep that path open towards the house.

It looks very nice seeing your a script and not a level designer. You could probably improve a bit on detail but thats about it seeing as crono fixed those tiles errors. >.<
