Playerlist Update?
 

I just thought to myself, the playerlist has barely changed since its existence. It would just be nice if it could be accessed quickly, even by keyboard. Or for massing you could quickly select everyone. Or a mode that you could toggle where the messages pop up like Instant Messages and don't when you toggle it off. I feel the playerlist could have a lot more accessibility. IMO...What do you think?

UN was working on a system called "GIM". (Graal Instant Messenger) It worked fairly well and it was an avatar system, as well as im styled chat. It also had event mode where no windows would pop up during an event and so on. Something like that global would be nice, but make it an option so the players that like the current playerlist can still use it.

And as for the masses, don't you see a "mass pm" button at the bottom? I do.

Maybe since I've been back I didn't notice the mass PM button, I could swear I've never seen it.

I hope this GIM does get released if its not buggy and laggy.

That's only for the scripted playerlist (most commonly people with linux & mac).

Yeah, you can enable the in-game playerlist via F3 -> General -> Player list options -> Use in-game playerlist.

a graal messenger, could be interessant.

I actually like the old playerlist. Shift+End selects all in PM's yaknow.

I might be possible for the current IRC Chat system to be edited allowing a graal messenger.

Lol, anyone remember the Graal Messenger that was similar to the older AIM?

GIM was a work in progress by Rage on UN. It was pretty sweet and he's still working on it occasionally. I believe he's waiting for the next Graal version to release it.

It's supposed to work like an active Instant Messaging system when on Graal and much more convenient. It had all sorts of features on it, it's pretty crazy.

Still dunno if it'll be released. :'(

It was pretty cool, but also very ugly.

FAR better than the current in-game playerlist, though.

I think he was working on skins for it too. I'm not sure about that exactly.
