Setting PCIDs for RC access.

Has this been disabled? I'm using wireless internet that changes IPs each time it reconnects (it's Verizon's NationalAccess product), so using IP ranges does not help me much. I had one of the staff members on Valikorlia add this laptop's PCID (4416) to my IP ranges, but it's not working. He mentioned that it's a rather short PCID. Could that be the problem?

make sure the rights say exactly "pc:4416" no other variations like "pc: 4416", "pcid:4416", etc

Check my forum PM. It seems your computer ID might differ from what you posted here.

pcids are a tool of the proletariat to oppress those with lots of PCs

There's a nifty button that is in the lower right of your posts that allows you to edit your post if you have more to add ;o

It would be just so like your kind to rewrite history to suit your purposes

Mac PCIDs don't change, or they haven't for me.

LoneAngelIbesu 11-01-2008 06:44 AM

Well... if we're all done with the Mac Revolution...

The issue has been resolved. Either the staff member and I both saw the PCID incorrectly, or RC outputted the wrong one. Either way, Ibonic sent me my last two PCIDs, which work perfectly. :D
