UDP and Windows Vista
 

UDP and TCP are things that I am unfamiliar with, but haven't really got much concern for. UDP is enabled as a default option, and I know how the options effect Graal but that's just through trial and error. I have noticed that when I have UDP enabled that people who use Windows Vista are pretty laggy, and extremely jumpy. When I disable UDP, Vista users are normal and don't lag anymore than Windows XP users do.

I'm wondering if anyone could explain why only Vista users seem to lag when UDP is enabled, and why UDP is the default option as many users have Vista now.

I have Windows Vista and am usually on UDP. Never experienced this issue (seeing other people that are using UDP + Vista lag).

I have had vista for 3 months. I lag horrably I tried every thing programs, changing setting everything. what I found best was going into full screen mode with a less resolution and it may not look as good but I don't even notice any more. Plus graal has ****ty graphics so it does not matter.

Use the old Windows theme. Graal is **** with Vista's aero.

I have Vista and I've never had any problems....then again I probably have a way better computer than you so...

My PC also has no issues, apart from the screenshot bug which Stefan still ignores. Are you on 32bit or 64bit? My laptop has good hardware but it runs very slow because of the Vista Aero theme and is running 32bit, while my pc 64bit.

OLOL I didn't know Graal needed a high end computer to run well, what was I thinking.
