Forums bug?

This shows up sometimes when I try to reply to a thread:

Darlene159 08-05-2008 08:10 PM

Weird, I've never gotten that

cbk1994 08-05-2008 08:13 PM

It's related to using percent signs in your post. There are a few fixes, Googi made a Greasemonkey percent-fixer script for these forums.

DustyPorViva 08-05-2008 08:14 PM

They don't want to fix it... they still think it's not a problem at all and is very hard to make come up. I can't even do <number>[percentsign] at all.

We shouldn't have to be doing workarounds.

excaliber7388 08-05-2008 08:38 PM

So, if I tell you that I'm working as had as I can, giving 110%, I won't be able to post?

edit:
I find that hard to believe! :p

DustyPorViva 08-05-2008 08:39 PM

Do 5[percent], or 9[percent]. That's usually what I have a problem with.

excaliber7388 08-05-2008 08:53 PM

5% ?

DustyPorViva 08-05-2008 08:57 PM

Lucky bastard. I had did it just when I posted that and it didn't work.

Anyways, it's always a problem with the percent sign. It seems completely random at times.

Crow 08-05-2008 09:08 PM

Just use "&#37 ;" without the quotes and without the space. Html code for %. I always do that.

I never remember the actual code for it and I don't feel like hunting for it when I want to use a percent sign. They should just undo whatever dumb protection they put in.

excaliber7388 08-05-2008 09:23 PM

5ยบ/o ?
I think it works in the quick reply only. :p

DustyPorViva 08-05-2008 09:24 PM

Nah, if you do it in the quick reply it just stalls.

It usually doesn't work for me, but sometimes it does. For example, I can't quote your post.

excaliber7388 08-05-2008 09:35 PM

Nuh uh 5%

I know html, I just don't remember stuff like that, and I don't have the memory to either.

Crow 08-06-2008 02:55 AM

Oh well. Yea, I agree there should basically be a fix for this one, but if I would have that problem, I wouldn't even know where to start debugging if I wouldn't know what causes it in the first place. Not sure if "they" know.

I say in the thread that there are ways to run Greasemonkey scripts on IE and Safari.
