Report Profile
A button to report the profile, in the profile dialogue. On the admin side there should be a means of ignoring reports from specific users to avoid abuse of the system.
|
Would this report it to the server, or some sort of Graal Online server? I don't think it's appropriate to report it to the server they're on because a profile is global.

No ty, let the GP's do their actual jobs instead of replacing it with lazy tools.
God forbid a profile has naughty words. T_T |

Well, some changes a couple months ago added profile changing as far as I know, though I guess it's only for globals. Well, at least there were reports whenever somebody was changing his/her profile, so I guess globals can change the profile of others. Uhh, support ticket maybe? I'm not sure D:

When I managed N-Pulse, and someone refused to change their profile when it was nasty, I banned them until they changed it.
That doesnt fix the problem though. Not enough people care to enforce it. I have seen some really bad language in profiles, and links to stuff that shouldnt be linked to. Something needs to be done about rule enforcement in general on Graal, because it is horrible. |
Problem is, even with this... who's going to go and manage all the reports?

NOTHING NEW PPL

I think if the rules of Graal were to be enforced more thoroughly they WOULD have to be revised. Although that doesn't go to say they would have to be slacked, just made more reasonable for large-scale deployment. |
Only Ibonic can change profiles globally right now. Too bad there isn't a profile ban that automatically resets the profile or something when local staff ban for it. That way if someone refused to change it after a request the staff would have some recourse.
|
Well if the higher-ups don't mind me banning people for having inappropriate profile then that's good news for me.
Because I like banning people. |

When I managed N-Pulse, and someone refused to change their profile when it was nasty, I made them watch the same Flavor of Love episode repeatedly until they changed it.

I've never really seen a profile on Era that I found inappropriate. I have never seen other staff punish people for what they have in their profiles either, nor has a player ever reported a profile to me.
|
Plan and simple kids, don't look a profiles if you feel like they're too serve for you to read.

The fact is that children read them, and even though it may not offend them, it still is not appropriate. Some profiles are very explicit. I'm not talking about the occasional curse word, just to be clear. Read peoples quotes sometimes, and look at the links, some of them are really bad. |
I'm also referring to the really bad ones myself. My only concern about the bans though is that it should log somehow what was in the profile prior to the ban so there isn't a bunch of senseless bans cause someone put 'oh poop' in their profile and got banned for a few days.
