Forum Account Names
 

Personally, I don't go by Excaliber anymore (it's Cali people). I'm sure there's other people who don't go by their account name. I was thinking there could be a way to change the name you go by. Now, the problem arrises where people could change their name so no one will be able to get to contact them. Well, for the people who go with a custom name, they would lose the ability to have a custom user title. The custom user title will instead be their account name.
In this way, there's no possible way for people to hide who they are, but their name will at least be the right one. It'll be easier to talk to people too. More personal and such.

Your thoughts?

Some forums allow you to change your name so I don't see why not. Maybe another slot thing under your user title. I like my user title and don't want to lose it.

Well your forum accounts name is connected to your real account...

Make it so you still use your old name to login its just your name appears differently when you post?

I'd forgo it so I could have my normal graal name up there.

The login would have to be your forum account name, at least I think.
I'm up for any solution that gets rid of that dumb name up there. :p

Or allow community name changes.

I don't think I'd buy a new account to just change my name.

I also got my name changed to cbk1994 (from my other account).

But, that does require buying another account, and nothing else will transfer besides your forum stats.

Buying a new account that could go on the forums is out of the question.

So, any moderator/owner input on this? :D

I like it the way it is. Makes everything seem more "official".

Perhaps you losers should not have registered such horrible account names to begin with!

I was 12 or so when I made my original account dlang. Middle initial and last name, not very original.

The point: many created their accounts when they were young and stupid :p

I am pretty sure I was twelve as well when I chose my account name, and I dare anyone insult it!

If you review your internet you will notice that there is not in fact a shampoo with that name!

I tried pulling the shampoo thing a while back, it's actually loreal or "L'Oréal".
