Mac Keyboard Shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts on Mac do not work very well ... some don't work at all (CMD + A), some work some of the time such as copy and paste, and for some reason CTRL + KEY works perfectly.
The CTRL stuff should be removed, since that's Windows, and then fix the existing stuff. |
The shortcuts are pratically identical between Graal on Linux, Mac and Windows. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing though - I prefer being able to go to the start of the line by pressing the "home" key, although there are probably similar shortcuts for that on Mac.

When using CMD + Q to quit an application (say Safari), once that quits it will put Graal to focus, and Graal detects that and quits. I think Graal has some kind of generic detection rather than the default system since other applications do not do this. EDIT: Mac keyboards don't even have a home button (at least the notebooks). It's CMD + LEFT to go home, CMD + RIGHT to go to end, which is actually more intuitive in my opinion. |
This is still very annoying; copy/pasting from a Mac text field (e.g. TextEdit, Safari) removes all line breaks.
It's impossible to copy/paste into the scripted RC (even in new version, or maybe only in new version?) because it removes the line breaks, and adds funny symbols. CTRL+C, etc shouldn't even work in the Mac version for Graal. It makes the application seem totally un-Mac(ish). |
