Developer

Hey guys, just came back, and curious what is this developer package that you can get? I mean, it says you can still get a year of playerworld for $24.00, but the developer is $99.00 for a year.
Is the Developer the new playerworld? haha..

Crow 09-18-2007 08:54 PM

Exactly. Developer packs were added when the normal playerworld renting was removed. Developer pack gets you a playerworld.

Developer Gold = playerworld renting (formerly graal.net)
Developer Pack = 3 people can share the cost of a server

Crow 09-18-2007 09:02 PM

Oh, yea, I mixed that up a bit...

Battousai90290 09-19-2007 03:08 AM

Ok, and one last thing, if I buy a Developer pack, is it possible to receive information that was on an old server (shangri-la).
If possible, how?
Do I buy it and have Stefan or another Global admin give me the levels etc?

Admins 09-19-2007 12:46 PM

Yes I can transfer it to the new server once it's up.

do you have permission to use the content of shangri-la?

Bell 09-19-2007 05:09 PM

Once content is uploaded it becomes the property of graalonline and can be distributed with permission by the PWA or Stefan to whomever they wish to allow its use.
Due to the many developers involved in such content its no longer necessary to have the original owners permission since they chose not to proceed with their project and closed it down.
Even though I personally don't feel revival projects are the best way to go as most of them are outdated you just need to put in a support ticket with the request through http://support.graalonline.com

The thing I don't like is that then players can get access to dead servers and such. It's much better to give content if the player has gotten permission to use it instead of just sending in a request for it.

Hey guy, my sister is madrox and I of all people deserve the right to own her server. Not like I can get permission from her now, but If i could she would agree.
So just quiet your mouth please.

Firstly my name isn't 'guy'.

Secondly, I didn't know that Madros is your sister. I just don't wanted some random dude to try bring back Shangri-La, because I did work there before with MysticalDragon.. And btw, good luck I guess..

Battousai90290 09-21-2007 04:35 AM

Yeah, thanks..
oh, and stefan, the server is up.

In theory thats a great idea but people do tend to lie and often its impossible to confirm. Or in other cases, one owner gives permission but the person that did the major portion of development says no. So who do you actually consider as the owner of the content. We will to the best of our abilities try to get permission for the sake of those who worked on it but its just not always a good option.

Battousai90290 09-21-2007 08:43 PM

You can't.
Both original owners have passed away..
Shawn64 did everything on the server so it is all high stuff.
and my sister was just the owner and i know she'd give me it..
