Scripted PMs
Why are GS1 tags running in pms? People can now do stuff like #L and #n in pms and it will come out with yournick and your level. Basically, it's confusing the hell out of people and making way for:
Hi #n, Would you like to visit an awesome playerworld ...blah blah I think it's a bad addition. |
:o I thought this was always possible? Or at least, used to be waaaaay back when...
|
doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me.

People used to try to show off doing that by doing stuff like, "#n, you have a dumb name!" and such in masses all the time, tricking newbies. Then it just got old and faded away into nothingness.
|
I'm currently on UN trying to prevent a war...damn these people are slow. "But why are you saying my name?" *long description* "umm...yeah but why are you saying my name?"
Those people are not ready for such a thing. Sadly enough, I've been on UN defending V5 for too long now. People don't read the forums and bag it out about random things. These feelings spread and eventually get on the forums as unjustified rabble. It's bloody annoying. All servers should have a popup dialog about V5, features and known bugs. |
It was possible with the <graalmsg> tags I believe, but that was disabled.
|
I want it redisabled. I can't believe how hard it is for people to understand.
I gave up. Someone with an official tag needs to go there and explain it. There are too many idiots posting #n is a [expletive] for them to listen. |
lol, at least the mayhem of classic Graal has been restored to a degree with this new version...
|
Ah, graalmsg.
It was disabled more because of abusiveness. You could do something like: @lol ur mud number iz <graalmsg>#s( clientr.secretMUDNumber )</graalmsg>!!!!!!!! (Just an example) |
