Events and rules

No Stephen I am not posting rules but merely stating my point of view. I don't want to flame so don't worry. I gave Bjorn the rules and he turned one down for Kart racing so i hosted without that rule and well the result was as I thought.

first 3 races was edgar, 4th was leon, 5th was boing and the last 5 was leon. This shows you why I try to enforce rules. Your thoughts (general public).

Might I mention they were all ec's that i put down for the winner of each race.

I don't like that decision ot give 5 to one player.

I think an important piece is missing here, and that's how many total people were participating.

Honestly, I see no problem with this because in my mind EC's are way too coveted right now. The price has been driven up to 30-35 diamonds, when even at 20 diamonds each prizes such as Gale Armour were expensive.

Also again, I understand the argument to spread the items around. But you're still punishing people for winning. Then you'll have people that purposedly will wait for the higher-end prizes because they don't want to risk winning a small prize and then missing out on a big prize. Which happend last week in one of Raven's events and then later in one of mine with the same rules.

The best thing I have found is to hold events back to back to back. That way I can hit when there is a large quanity of players on and the prizes seem to naturally spread themselves out.

Congratulations guys!

Also, Raven. If you want to conduct experimentation regarding the validity of rules, please post your findings in a non-objective way, so that staff & co. don't have to wade through a paragraph or two of non-sense.

Thanks!

I was there. There were maybe ~10 people there, and it was a single event. Leon arrived late, and won himself 5 ECs (175 diamonds). Is it fair that in about 10 minutes he won the equivalent of 175 diamonds? If he'd have sat out every other race, he'd have won half that, and other people would have had a prize to smile about.

I didn't win a single race, and I'm not mad about it, because I personally suck at kart races. I did come second to several people who had won multiple times, and I could have gotten a prize if they had been made to sit out.

Ravenblade's rule was a good one, and he made the rule so everyone would have a fair chance.

Allow him to keep it ;)

He won more because he was better than everyone. If they want to win EC's at kart race they should practice kart race.

Did you ever think that if you're going to give away 10 ECs, maybe you shouldn't give all of them away at the same event?

Yes granted he was good. But look what kyden said..the ec's are worth 25-30 dias each. How fair is it that one person managed to walk away with 6 ec's from this event. My rule for kart (can't mention it) was to give other people a chance to win it. All of you are just too damn greedy to even see that. If you don't have the top most wanted prizes then your nothing. Mostly everyone who wins these like waterglass or musical chairs or kart track already have good items. How about Johnny new person who is trying for the item. Just to have one so they may have a chance to get diamonds from it?

They don't seem to matter to you people. I could have done like 10 different events and I bet you only the ppl who have practiced those would win. But I thought 10 races would show just how much my kart race rule was needed. I don't put rules in place for a reason. Lets go back to when Paul!o was winning every race. How many people complained to me? So what if he was good. At least he understood me when I first brought the rule the in. Yes it cut his wins in half but he understood. People are just too damn greedy plain and simple.

When someone new has a ec or a good item then you people pounce all over him like a pack of wild dogs trying to get it from them...why?? maybe so they won't have a good item and your one step closer. These new people don't know the price of things so you end up ripping him/her off although you don't mean too. But fine you want me to host your way don't complain everyone if your not winning prizes and only a select few are. And if you do want to complain...well complain to staff. I am sick of arguing to people who just don't seem to understand concepts and only care about themselves.

Do you know how many times I have given up my good items to help new people out? Not one of you could say you would give up your dual ros just to help someone new out. You people sicken me and I am tired of talking to you about this.

Viper ur a bit different them. Anyways I just realized. Googi and Stephen (especially you). You don't have a right to argue with me. Neither of you ever go in my events. Maybe once i seen you Stephen in musical chairs. But you mostly sit in bomb trade afk.

This is why I stopped entering events...Why? When you get someone winning the same event multiple times, it allows them to gain more ECs..the more ECs that enter the economy to one person, the more control they can gain in it...too much control and you get a monopoly on ECs.

Now you see why I don't collect ECs at all...except for the one I won fair and square in Musical chairs a while back. ^^

Ravenblade1979 02-18-2007 06:25 PM

Well am done arguing with ppl. apparently my concepts aren't agreeing with their greediness. so we will see where this goes. Also cancelling my rp events. No point being fair to everyone anymore. only the best wins...remember

jonnyrocks2 02-18-2007 06:31 PM

Ah, don't be like that, I'll lend a hand where I can Raven. ;p
