East Haunted House

I'm noticing often lately that the skeletons/smokies in the east haunted house will stop spawning after a while. Is this intentional or is it a bug?

Its a bug i think but theres a trick to fixing it. Summon a pet monster, use the song to make it attack you, then kill it. That should kick start the room.
