Racing

1 Attachment(s)
I would of taken a picture yet everytime I tried the tiles turned into Z's and only the NPC's were left, so I will send it as a file. Tell me what you think. The bottom left area is where the bikes will start. It is only the first section of the racing track. Where the track leads off to, in the northen section is where the racing track continues. Hopefully it could be used as a new type of event. If approved I'd gladly finish the rest. :p
If it does turn towards an event, players should not be able to bump into each other, seeing as a lot of people will be taking part. Some people could spectate the race if they wanted, thats why I made those little floor sections outside the track.
So if anything you would like to say or add, go ahead...

*Edit
For those of you who do not know how to view it. Click on the file, go to "Save", save it in your "Graal" folder. Once done, open up your Graal folder, and run your "GraalEditor" program. Once that is up and running click on "Open". Search in the Graal folder for the file and open it. You should now be able to view the level by pressing "Play" at the top right of the editor screen.

I think it means he took the wrong kind of screen shot.

There are two types. Full level, and current screen. A full level screenshot will not show light effects, or custom tiles. You need to take a 'current screen'shot.

One is taken by pressing Alt + 1 and the other is done by pressing Alt + 2. I can't remember which is which. So Huwajux, whichever one you tried first, try the other now.

What?

I can't fit it in with current screen shot. D:

It comes up as an invalid file. I put it as PNG and the file was too large. Hopefully my edit on my first post will help people understand how to view it.

Hmm.
Alt+2=Current screen shot.
Alt+1=Screen shot of the entire level.
Alt+F4=Mega cheat code that gives you unlimited money. J/k, don't delete that please D:

Anyway, if I am correct, Dark suggested this before, when events were being discussed. Stefan, if I am correct twice, also said he liked the idea.

And I, if I want to be correct three times, liked the idea then, and still do.
I'll check out the level shortly.

EDIT: Dark, it would have been nice had you made an NPC that had the tileset. Now you're making me mess up my offline tiledefs; I was working on something to show to Icarus' staff :\

And the level is nice, but the area isn't wide enough. Remember, bikes are hard to control, so that'd be hard.

Make it, maybe twice or 1.5 times as wide, and add some obstacles in there, i.e. those blue barrels that are in Deathmatch and Iricia.

EDIT2: I spent some time and made something of my own. Just do what Dark's instructions said.
I also added an ET function to the start, just to see if I could. Just edit:

message 3;

}
}
To something that works for you.

It's called speed control, it's never going to be easy, it's an event. :p
You don't go into it holding the forward button with your eyes closed hoping you'll reach the finish line by blind luck. (See what I did there? :p)
Oh and in your level the obstacles are barely passable, perhaps you could just make it through at a walking pace. ^_^

A race on superspeed bikes should be larger than one level.

I'd work on a gmap, but I'd have to learn how to first, and I seriously don't have that much time right now D:

colin012 02-13-2006 12:50 AM

It's true.

Indeed.
