Graal v4.02 revision 1 released
 

This is the first update for the Gold/VIP v4. Download it by connecting to the server list (login server). Updates:
- fixed the UDP mode, so it should work again, together with microphone chat
- doesn't crash anymore when there are too many explosions
- added the F1 help files
- you can switch from 3D to 2D mode again, it's not recommended though because it uses much more resources in comparison to connecting directly to a 2D server (we will work on reducing the resources taken by the 3D version)
- when disabling bitmap fonts then the text width is correctly calculated, which fixes right-aligned text
- fixed a problem with the particle emitter where after some client lag (frozen window) new emitted particles were messed up
- the sign window is displayed below the player if possible, instead of above
- when being hurt, you are sliding through other players like in v2; also when being hurt with the horse you should not get stuck in beds anymore


Gserver/NPCServer updates:
- displays correct error line if the script contains old script commands with multi-line parameters
- update packages are reloaded when an RC uploads a new version, so "reinstall" doesn't messup after modifying a package anymore

My client updated, and when it was done, my computer just jammed up. I tried control alt delete but it did not do anything. I restarted my computer. I tried opening the Graal 4 client but It didnt even open before my computer jammed again. I restarted my computer once more, and again it jammed up when I tried opening Graal 4. So apparently I cant get on it anymore. Any help?

Linux and Mac version are almost finished, still need to work on the options window and the installer.

V4 lags me to hell. Damn optimmum. I already hit my modem like 20x but still no luck. :\

Well I guess I cant play v4 anymore since it keeps crashing my computer =/...

I would recommend removing trojans and spyware and installing good graphics card driver and sound card driver. It's not like Graal could easily crash the computer, it's the driver that is doing that.
The only other problem I could imagine is that you have a bugged v4 exe, but then Windows will complain and not crash.

It cant be the driver because the game doesnt even open. The screen doesnt open at all. I click the icon on my desktop and bam it jams and I restart my computer. If you wanna donate me some money then ill buy a new card, I have no money at all right now so I cant buy anything for my computer. I have no spyware or viruses either.

Install drivers please. What card do you have again?
Old cards would slow it down but not crash

Its an Intel(R) 82810E Graphics Controller. I have all the drivers for it. I downloaded a GFX Accelerator for it too. It didnt start doing this until v4 updated the the new version.

The graphical stuff has not been really changed. Were you using bitmap fonts or was that disabled?
Also what is a gfx accelerator?

I dunno but there was a Graphics Accelorator driver, probably to make games run faster. I had bitmap fonts disabled because I cant read fonts when its enabled.

Its more than likely not v4.
Try to update DirectX and your Video Card Drivers.

I also tried reinstalling it with the installer, and when the blue box pops up, and I click install my computer still jams up. So I doubt its my gfx card.

Is that a card or integrated graphics?

Old. Its a 2001 dell. Its a business computer, its not meant for games, but i manage it somehow. I got it free anyways so yeah.

That could be the reason. My comp was a 2002 gateway and would'nt even download graal. I just got a 2005 dell and it works fine.

You should get a new computer if you have the money.

I have No money, and I need to find a job by october 31 or i lose my computer, and plus i owe my dad $400 so I might be screwed!

Perhaps when you reselect "Member" on the main screen, once having selected "Guest", it should show the account that was last used, not "guest".
