The story of Humans and Vampires is a rather macabre one... a thousand
years ago, our Goddess, Eros, she of the utmost divinity, watched as

having used all of her power to seal them off, in hopes of allowing
the humans to find salvation, and to prosper.

However, in the other realm, these 'un-humans', whom referred
to themselves as 'Vampires' in honor of Krenne Vampyrus, whom had
established himself as leader, and wished to somehow reopen the sealed
portal between the two realms. Though he died several years later,
the Vampires continued to try and find a way back. However, one day,
something went terribly wrong. For seemingly no apparent reason, the
portal's seal was broken and it was reactivated. With that the Vampires
did not care to question why it had happened, but simply went through
the portal and entered the Human realm. For several hundred years
war raged on between Humans and Vampires, as the Humans tried to force
the Vampires back. But the war never ended. The Vampires continued to
fight. To this very day, that war still rages on.

It is still not known how the seal upon the portal was suddenly broken.
I sense there is some other evil force at work here. But I cannot be sure.

I hope my information has proven useful to you, traveler. May Eros watch

At the moment we are hiring anyone we can possibly get. We prefer scripters, graphics artists and levelers (that can work with our tileset).
The scripters must be able, well, to script. We plan on creating a seperate hit system (and weapon system). A bunch of skills (we already have a list) are also going to be needed.
The graphics artists must be able to make heads, tiles, weapons and other minor graphics. (Must know how to shade with light sources, etc.)
The levelers will have a pretty easy job (I believe we only need one), but basically just detailing levels and adding levels to the overworld with the tiles that the graphics team has created. They must know how to work with custom tilesets.

You should log onto the server "GDR Dev" and read the NPC-Server's message if you wish to tryout. Contact information is in the message. I'm really tired, so sorry if I cannot slew a proper sentence together.
"GDR Dev" has all of Macabre's levels uploaded, so you can check out screenshots and stuff there. You can also look at screenshots from my other post, here, which was meant to be a memorial thread, but eventually made me want to work on Macabre again.
