Baddy Script Example

1 Attachment(s)
Hi, I just thought I'd post this to help people learn how to script baddys. Its the basic movement / detect player system, it also shows you how the move command works with a few timeout pauses. It also contains some nice forumlas for a damage system.

I started it for the archaic project. AnU has now decided to create a much simpler pw, so the scripting is being redone.

Please DO NOT simply copy this script. Learn the script, then make one of your own.

- Hope this helps a few people :)

Oooh mocchs.

No Onwall = Bad Onwall.

Ningnong 01-17-2004 12:08 PM

as I say it's not complete. If anyone needs help with onwall, i'd suggest searching for "onwall" in the forums.

- Or you could find me on a pw and start nagging me :P

i like loriels onwall code, too insanely huge for words but oooooh so sweet.

I like Stefan's onwall, not as long as Loriel's :p

Not as good as Loriel's either, Loriel's fixes some bugs in Stefan's

Now begs Stefan to release a new onwall detection that fixes whatever bug Python is talking about ;)

:D if he wanted to avoid being called Phython he should have gotten the account Jagen. ;-)

Hehe, I tried to duplicate graal's onwall once. It was tricky, How it can slide through corners and everything. I almost had it, but not quite. I could always get it perfect if it was for a speed of 0.5 but if it was variable speed I had problems. :(

I was hoping move would work and I wouldn't even have to write any onwall code, but noooo it has to be broken. lol.

I got yer baddy script right here:

http://www.geocities.com/ace2896/

Click on "Baddy Scripter's Bible". Although, at the time of writing this, the link seems to be broken. But check out the "Newbie Scripter's Bible" anyways! It helped me quite a bit, and it shows and explains ALL of the commands I think... good luck!
