Dude are you a friging joke,Im asknig him questions to break down the possiblities of what the problem might be.Some people use m after it makes the map they stop,THats why they still see back. You Have add the script to the first level then press m.After Map Generates save it.Then press play. Then Press f4 and press m again. This time you should see it running threw all your levels Actully creatng the map.If your using a GMAP Post back.

Its not working im not sure what your supposed to do...

you should use a gmap instead.

 I don't get what you mean by gmap....:megaeek:

This problem sometimes occurs due to low RAM, i've gotten this myself. (or, perhaps it's some other bug).
Generally a restart of Graal should fix it... |
Nah, it's actually in how you use setmap.
If you setmap yadda, yadda, 0,0; people will appear in level 0, 0 - usually a black square on peoples' maps. If you setmap yadda, yadda, 9.5, 13; people will appear halfway through the 9th level from the left, at the top of the 13th level from the top. Or maybe it autocenters, but I think I'm doing this right. The reason they appear in the blackspace anyway is because they don't have a map coordinate - these people are inside a building or on a different map, yet are not excluded from viewing on this map. In theory the solution is setmap yadda, yadda, 255, 255; then they'll be so far off the map you can't see them - but nobody seems to want to do it that way, and there's the problem of what if they make a map that big (I think Classic's Endless Freaking Ocean map is nearing that...) |

He asked a FAQ why the map isn't showing right... I'd say chances are that server doesn't have a map or isn't setting it correctly. If they assure you they DO have a map try closing out of graal completely with the X at the top and re-logging in to that server. If it was your first time there graal wouldn't have implemented the image it downloaded for the map yet. Do you have automapping enabled? |

...and yeah, HoudiniMan, I don't think he was referring to MAKING a map either. It would help if he mentioned which server he's having this problem on, as someone may have the map file and .txt file for him. |
