Playerworld News!

Oh yeah, you all are anxiously awaiting what will happen from here on out.

So well here is what is supposed to happen. Do not sit here and take this to heart and word for word. This is SUBJECT TO CHANGE

I figured I would post something about everything so people are aware of things.

Playerworld Staff: There will be hirings when the new format comes up see new format below

Playerworld Submissions: There will be a whole new way to do things and how things will happen in the near near future

Now since I gave you the vague information time for a little more indepth.

So for playerworlds. 2 Options

Submitting your world as a free server (unsure if these will remain completely in the near future) which will basically be strict and to the point. If it isn't in the mind of the reviewers, that the world you created is better than the worlds that are in place, then it can simply be rejected on that alone. So it will be like it always was, submitting it and such, yet the process will be much much much more strict in terms of reviewing, and a team that will come together in the future, will decide how it's all done and set out to be.

Secondly, is the pay for your server option. The Pay for your server options costs a little bit per month with a setup fee. You get webhosting, your world, and other materials to make it work.

Graal will NOT administrate your worlds. You can sit there and fire whomever you want, when you want to, don't have to follow anything but the world rules when they are released. The world rules are about 5 core rules that MUST be met. In turn this will make the rules for FREE worlds much stricter, so be prepared for a huge crack down on that.

So paying for your world ensure your world goes up that instant you pay for it. It is a monthly plan, but the key catch is, the more people that play your world, the better. Because in the new UPGRADE feature, people can select your world and in turn give some money to the online bank of the world, thus making it last longer and keeping it up for people who love and enjoy the world can see it through.

This is all tentive, but I believe there will be a Playerworld Review Team, and a Playerworld Inspections team.

The Review team will consist of 4 people. To be named later. The Inspections Team will consist of how many FREE worlds there are left. Basically I cannot be everywhere at once, these inspections will have specific worlds to monitor and report back to myself so we can come up with solutions. The Inspectors, may be able to do more but it's all tentive on that.

So the question remains....When will this happen? heh...as if I know? It's supposed to happen shortly, but we all know things take longer than expected, so what I say is, do not hound me for a job. Asking me just ensures me ignoring you and just saying he doesn't deserve this. Basically I am telling you now that I am unaware of when this will happen. So when it does happen, I will post again notifying you of how to apply, if there will be an application. Possibly hire 2 people as head of the positions first, then make an application and we'll go through it so everyone is equal.

I know some may or may not like this. It's subject to change. People like the idea of paying for their own world and making it however they want to do it. Plus Graal will possibly give money to the best paying server if they are ranked #1 for that month or something, possibly getting a free month of service or something. Anyhow. Hope this works, unsure if things will work out the way as planned, but as of now, this is how it is, so we all know how Graal works, it's always changing.

WOW! Paying for space. I guess its a good idea, I hope it works out well. :D

it is a good idea, for player worlds that are well made and worth to be on, but some worlds would go down because they cant pay for it, that might be a downfall.

I am unsure if the free worlds are going to be forced to pay but if people want their server up private or whatever, then there will be a payment plan for that, but if you want your world up the free way, then it will be subjected to testing, and where it let go before, it will not. Thus why the staff hasn't been chosen till this all happens. It is like a freeze on the worlds.

Some worlds that got passed that needs to be reviewed. I need to get them asap :) if you are reading :P

There should be like this:

When you submitt your world you decide gold or silver.

Silver: You submitt your world free, it needs to be passed by 2 reviewers and it's head. Then you need to pass it.
When online, it will get checked everyday for copyrights and stuff.

Gold: You pay 20$ a month, and you get reviewed by you. Once it's up, you start paying. You get webhosting and other stuff.
You also get a new NC (The one kingdoms have) And will be put in a "Payed" list.

Does this mean we get the terms:

"Owner"
&
"Co-Owner"

back now?

Great...are you going to do anything about Cynical porn?

Spark910 03-20-2003 09:28 PM

I think that including webhosting will be a great idea as it will be more woth the price of hosting a PW. Anyway, I also think that there should be a scheme on not only PlayerCount but development as alot of PWs do lots of work but they go un-noticed and deserve maybe a free month etc..

What happened I never heard about it.!?

Cynical had one of the accounts "hacked" and someone uploaded some porn. It was taken care of. No need to press it on further.

I think PW's should have some scompetition. Like maybe only 10 PW's at a time and if the player count on a certain PW on th list drops below a certain amount, that PW is replaced, I mean, we can'y have 1 million PWs out there with an already low graal playerbase.

Yes this is one of the bigger problems. Nemesis im sure will look into it further when he has a team. And anyway the inspecting team could look over that and see who needs to go. But it is posasible we could have 1millions PWs, if they all want to pay. So paying could make player count spread worse, but if there paying then they are aloud to be up.

Joedogg3000 03-20-2003 10:41 PM

Hmm, I guess, you could keep that typing in option for all those payed PW's and the top 10 could actually be on the server list. I mean, this would have it so only if you knew about a payed PW then you could play it and I guess, you could keep track of those payed PW's and they could be the one replacing the main serverlist PW's. I don't know, its up to Nemisis.
