Where's the New Client?

When Unixmad announced the new client and engine based off of unity I was extremely excited, doubly so because snk was working on Era 3D as one of the first servers on it. Now, here we are, and it's all practically vaporware at this point. I don't understand, it seemed like everything was falling into place just right, that the new client would have been released a long time ago. What happened?

One thing you learn from being a gamer for 20+ years is you can't get upset about delayed or canceled projects. Video games are hard to make and for a truly great game to be released it takes a long time. There are very few exceptions to that rule, like Majora's Mask which was developed in 1 year. Not everyone can pull a Nintendo (basically no one comes close but you know what I mean). I want them to do something about this Worlds client but if it's not ready, it's not ready.
