I think it scales up as you get more bars, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

I wish

it would foster a more positive community if we got rid of negative reps altogether.

positive rep this if you agree and don't need no red bars in your life.

It's something like... Every year your account is active + # of posts + your current rep = a number I think.

Why do some member's reps count for more points than others?

The amount of points that you give or take from a member's reputation count is determined by your reputation "power". By default the power is 1, however, you receive one extra point of reputation power
  • per 1,000 positive reputation points received,
  • per 4,000 counted posts, and
  • per complete year that you have been a member of VBForums.

I'm actually wondering if "per 1,000 reputation points" is correct, because that's silly and means that there are only a few forum members who gained more than +1 from that. Whereas I get a +12 just for making this account when I was 8 years old.

Someone's been repping people under my name, I haven't repped you.

Draenin 05-09-2015 09:15 AM

I personally prefer the rep system that is used on Graalians. Only allows you to give positive rep and it leaves your name when you do.
