Sever Lag Issues
 

Are these server lag issues ever going to be addressed? It's unplayable at times, how can they just leave it and let the server lag like this? What a joke. People pay to play this game and they don't care about it being unplayable? Most people has 150ms/200ms+ on a sever? In today's age that is quite embarrassing.. Stop paying for cheap ass servers and fix this lag and remove the DDos protection because whatever is causing this lag is messing up the servers gameplay.

I'm sure everyone is fed up with the lag, why won't Stefan get his finger out and address it? I remember him telling us one time. 'I know what the issue is, i'll be back to debug it in 1-2 days time' Never seen him again...

Please fix this lag..

If somebody could edit my thread and change it from 'sever' to 'server' that be great, stupid typo.

I'm not sure if something's changed, but I noticed a 20 ms drop yesterday. I usually always had 120ms average.

There has been a major change in ms. Last year it was so good when he moved the server, i was down to 130ms and i live in europe and now it's 250ms. I even seen most people that live in america at 200ms.

I run a 125mb connection with an upload of 15. I probably have the best net on this server so it's nothing to do with that. It's server issues. It's either a cheap ass server or ddos protection that's causing the lag.

We can't fix the problem, and there's nothing to discuss :/ this is just gonna be a thread where a lot of people yell a lot.

We can fix the problem if we keep on at him. We are the people who pays his wages. Without us this game wouldn't function, so he needs to listen and address the issue. It's unplayable. Also, pretty sure we have all emailed him. If you read my thread then you would have seen that i said 'he knew what the issue was, and he would come back to debug it'.

Just a typical response from you though. Boring.

This is an old problem, its been on every server, it's never been fixed. If he wanted to fix it then he would.

So we just give up and bow down and let it slide? Play a game that lags you out every so often and makes raids and events sometimes unplayable?

I wouldn't expect you to understand anyway since you don't pk or play events, you are to busy running around pyro tech or playing happy families or chasing tink around the gmap. I dunno, quite annoying when kids aren't bothered about it, maybe if you pked and raid/play events then you'd understand. smh.

If you read what i said then you would have seen that he did want to fix it he just never came back. Did he forget? Did he change his mind? I don't know.

However, it needs fixed one way or another. We both know this, i don't see why we should stop talking about it, it's so frustrating and i can not be annoyed playing at times but i keep coming back in the hopes that it's been fixed. And i know i'm not just talking for myself here.

Sort of are, man. If not yourself, then a wall, but a wall we all have to see kk?

We all know it's on Stefan, we all know he's not doing it or can't do it, we've all expressed our dislike over the lag.
I guess what I'm confused about is what new thing you're trying to bring to the table with this discussion. As of now, it looks like nothing, which means the thread is open (and has currently been used) to degredation and you just yelling at everyone who disagrees with you.

Seriously, the 'I wouldn't expect you to understand' thing is nothing short of douchey (not to mention inaccurate). Ask him to say /gang sometime and tell him he doesn't raid or PK. Right click him and check event wins, and say he doesn't play events.
Even if the implications you made were true, just because someone doesn't do something as often or at the same times as you does not mean their opinion is any less valid. Were that the case, Wil Soul would be the only person worth listening to.

The lag issue affects every server. Whether stefan told you (or anyone) that he would debug it or not, it seems to be a lie. Were he planning to do so..he would have done so.

To be honest, there is such a thing as 'voting with your wallet'. If you don't like how the game functions, you don't have to play it. If enough people thought and did that, maybe something would be done. But good luck encouraging that (I don't) without getting globalled for something dumb.

Personally, the lag is manageable and even if it weren't, I'm classic so I don't put money into the game in the first place. I guess I could not PR, but that's for you guys, not Stefan.

I'm not really bringing anything new to the table but i'll just keep bringing it up until somethings done about it. If nothing is ever done that's fine, i'll keep going on about it. I'm not really yelling i'm just baffled at how him and yourself included can act like it doesn't bother you guys. Any wonder? You guys don't raid or play actively. You log on then get of again or sit on RC. Why would you care about lag like me and others would?

Try raid everyday with it, try play gang events with it. It's very frustrating but you don't have to put up with it, so obviously you do not care and that's why you are basically telling me to give over about it.

It's like an issue with RC that effects you doing something that you could before and me telling you to give over about it because it doesn't stop you doing what you do. Pretty much the same thing here.
