Intellisense in the RC script windows

Basically the same as the Microsoft trademark one.

Always on or Optional is my only question.

Gunderak 09-22-2012 05:15 PM

Optional would be the best bet.
Some people hate IntelliSense, I for one love it.
When at work doing C# things, it makes it so much simpler instead of having to look in the object library.

Code completion would be nice but I would rather see some more basic stuff (like find and replace) done first.

Indeed. Need to slow down a minute here. 1 step at a time. It's at least another 4 years before Find and Replace is out of beta testing.

Chances are, this won't be implemented.
Code completion would be nice, or you know, better documentation... ?

I agree, but let's not get ahead of ourselves; GS2 isn't even properly documented in the first place.

LOL. This post made my day.
But reah find and replace should be up there in the list of **** that needs doing.
Anyone know what the RC client is done in? C++ presumably?
I mean how hard is it to code a simple find and replace. There's probably even an API for it..

If this were to happen, it would be done in ClientRC. There is the /scripthelp feedback so feasibly, it is possible to script a rudimentary one for use. You would have to get Skyld to implement this though.

At the very least, you can copy paste your code into notepad, do a find and replace there, and then copy paste it back into the script editor

That's usually what we have to do, but a basic feature that's in most word programs should at least be in RC.
