A request for Graal Online managment:

Please, please, please start heavier contact with your PC players.

UN hit over 100 players the other day, and it was a huge deal. It shouldn't be. UN has recently has had an influx of players from Classic and (a few) from Delteria. It has become more and more commonplace that no individual server will hit 100 people in a given night.

The PC version is dying and everyone knows it.

This isn't a game that people play for the gameplay. People play it for the community. Stefan mentioned a few vague changes he wants to make in a different thread, but none of these had been mentioned before that.

Where is the communication?
The players have almost no idea what global staff is doing.

Player counts are getting lower and lower by the day and people have less and less of a reason to play. And, we have nothing to look forward to (as PC players), because there haven't been any announcements. Unixmad pretty much stopped posting on here, Stefan rarely does, and other global staff are just as hush-hush about whatever is (or most likely, isn't) going on.

If CJ is going to let the PC version die, then at least let us know. If not, can we get some actual customer service?

Fixed your emotional plea and chances are you'll get a no.

stefan and unixmad are out of touch with their playerbase, and with the success of classic iphone i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't care.

Just so you understand Mykel, the Playerworld Administration which is the only true global staff are not given advance notice as to upcoming changes. We usually hear about it at the same time its announced here. Hence we are unable to give you any extra notice.

I personally try to visit as many servers as I can but only have so much time in my day to handle issues of players and still wander around playerworlds. I apologize if I am not considered player visible enough for you.

The Global Development Team will be announcing any releases they make to the general public on their own when they have things they wish to release. Not all projects they work on are player based projects though. One of their goals is to update the Wiki to make it more user friendly for developers.

We are all aware that the playerbase has dropped substantially over the years and all of us wish there was a way to turn it around. None of us however though have the ability to go out there and drag people in to Graal. The fact that UN hit 100 again actually proves that those people on iphone are curious enough to want to visit the pc version of Graal. It will be up to those servers to provide a welcoming atmosphere to keep them there and make their community's grow again.

As much as I'm aware, players may soon see marketing for Graal Online.

For iPhone Graal, sure.

This. Unless you guys fuse the communities. Little pay on iPhone while PC has to pay out the ass.

Big community fuses with small. Big pay balances out with little pay.

We could have an equal amount of players of both iPhone and PC players. They could both pay a good 5 bucks a month for classic servers (Except lifetime owners already). 10 for gold. Imagine how much more you could be making. Get a lil bit of the word spreading around. It could be fun.

How about you actually put up some advertisements and make an effort to get people on this god damn game for once. I've never seen a graal advertisement once in my entire life. What does this say about how much the administration actually cares about getting a larger player base? I'm sure they're advertising for the iPhone somewhere, but the PC has never gotten a lick of marketing. You guys are douchebags, I want my $19 back from when I bought classic years ago.

yeah ive seen alot of graalians saying bye-bye in the goodbye section.

I cant say I blame them, ive pretty much quit graal, I log on for maybe a few minutes sometimes but other than that ive quit. Too boring, and im not going to pay a guy who gives me nothing in return.

And you expect to hear what?
Maybe you should talk and ask the players once in a while too. It might be you will find out why older and new players aren't attracted (anymore).

fowlplay4 03-29-2010 03:14 PM

I don't really see why you need to talk to players to figure out that they want to see updates, more players, some kind of support center, and a different trial system. There's plenty of threads just like this that state the same thing.

Gotta talk to staff with community based influence, not the wrong ones who are just fixated on 1 server (Zone, I presume)

Graal needs to have a structured masterplan created thouroughtly...
