Greetings Graalians!

This thread will be used to show everyone the current progress of the developement for a new event called "Station-Capture" and will be updated weekly if there is new content or new features to show for you.

..::For the players who dont know me::..
My name is "Maroku" and i am the current Events Admin of Graal Kingdoms.
I was very busy IRL for around 4-5 years but i finally got back to Graal!
I want to thank Tashkin and Sky for there support and trust they gave me so i am able to get back to the projects i worked on before i retired as Staff years ago.
I also want to thank calani and Daya for there incredible support for this project!


And now lets get back to the project...
NOTE: All images,graphics,features etc are in "Alpha" state and can be changed during developement.

This is the current start level for this event.

- In this level players can choose between "Blue" or "Red" team by attacking the red or blue townbell. (No Kingdom needed)
- If the event is not running the players are able to switch teams.
- Event Masters are able to disable the townbells so they can form there own teams (Kingdoms Only etc...).

..::Gameplay Modes::..

Win by Captured Stations

The Events Master will start a timer (15 minutes for example).
After 15 minutes the team with the most captured stations win.
There will be also an option for (Instant win if team gets all stations).

Win by Points

The Events Master will set a value (1000 for example).
1 Station for a team would give the team 1 point each second.
More Stations under your control would increase the speed of points collecting.
The team that gets faster to 1000 would win!

..::GUI::..

In order to keep players updated with importand information we created some special GUI´s just for you!

This ui is the main display that you will see if you join this event.
It will display the timer(or points of red and blue team).
It will also display the current captured stations for each team.
This ui is placed at the top/middle of your screen.

This is the current "minimap".
With this minimap you will always know which stations are "neutral" "blue" "red"

..::Gameplay Information::..

- Events Masters can choose between Battleground PvP or Normal PvP.
- Teams can capture stations by staying inside the station zone.(you can also move inside the station zone to capture them).
The design for the station is a placeholder at the moment.

- Each team got his own castle that he warps inside if the events master starts the event.
- The castles got 3 platforms that will teleport you outside of the castle.
- Castles will have "heal" npcs so its pointless to run to the other teams castle to kill them.
- The left platform would teleport you to the left "lane" of the map so you can reach stations directly by moveing up or down.(depends on team color)
- Each station or "teleport point" is placed in a FAIR way (No team has longer/shorter ways to run to reach stations).
- If 1 red team player and 1 blue team player are over a station NOONE would capture it until anyone is leaving the station zone or gets killed.
- Captured stations cant be healed from the owners.
- Multible players of the same team can capture stations faster.

Im sorry for my bad grammar and english.If a moderator could change that it would be very nice :D

Pretty similar to capture the flag, but it's nice that it's not just limited to Kingdom teams.

This seems really familiar, to me. Not bashing it or anything, is there a similar event on another server? I really can't put my finger on it.

I think you should turn the alters into missiles that explode if you don't chant 'inb4explosion' 5 times after you capture the flag. after chanting it should explode anyways

I planned that you are able to grab the altar to to start some buffs/debuffs (but only 1 at a time and only for a short duration) and it has to be restarted if it the effect is over.
And this effects cant be cancled while running so think about what is best for your team before you start them :)
This makes sure its not thaaat easy to "steal" stations from the other team. And if you are outnumbered this system can support that a little bit.

Some things i have in mind :

Team Heal > While beeing on a owned station zone your team is passive healed for a little ammount each second.
Team Slow > The other teams movement will be slowed while beeing near your owned station.
Team DamageBuff > While near your owned station you get bonus damage.
Team DamageDebuff > The other teams damage is reduced while near your owned station.

If you have any suggestion just post them!

Patch 1.01 is up!

Fixes:

- Graal# accounts are able to hit/get hit now.

Changes:

- Players are not able to drop items on the gmap anymore.
- Players wont drop items/platinum coins on death anymore.

Features:

- Players now have a new icon image on top of there heads while they play on this event based on the joined team.

- Chat System (Requested by the community)
- After joining a team you can say :showchat and chat with your team.

- You can drag and resize the window to fit your style.
- This window doesnt need to be open to receive messages.

This should be utilized for literally every set of messages on the server. RPG/Player messages shouldn't be lost after 10~ seconds/25 lines~ or whatever.

There should be tabs applicable for Kingdoms, Staff/Admin/Event messages, Party tab pops up if you join one, and Battle/Inspect/Magic/Misc.

Runescape this ***** plox.

Patch 1.03 will come soon!

Changes:

- The platforms of each castle got removed.
- Statues has been added to the castles to replace the platforms.
- You have to grab them now to teleport out of your castle.

Features:

- Death-Penalty-System(Requested by the community)
* The Events Master can now set how many seconds a player
has to wait in his castle before he can teleport again after getting killed.
