Disconnecting issue

This may sound a bit strange, but if I sign off of Graal by closing the window or such, I stay connected. I have asked a few people about it after I have logged off and they can still attack me, push me, etc.

Anyone have an idea? I suspect a port problem myself.

btw, that is why people usually see me on a server i never play, that is where I "log off".

Note: It appears to only be happening on my computer at home. Does not happen on laptop.

You can avoid it by using ESC, or by clicking on the graal icon in your task bar.
I guess it's a feature we V5 was released.
Normally it should be open a popup window to give you the choice to stay online and just close the window. Maybe it depends on your operating system.

Sam, this is the odd part:

I've done that, and I'm still connected somehow. xD

I don't think Windows XP has anything to do with it, might even just be my virus scanner ( I know that sounds odd ), but it started when I installed BitDefender.

Ah okay. So I am sure Stefan (hopefully) will see this thread and have a look at.

Try killing it with the task manager. If that works, you know it's a problem with how you exit.

Obs311 10-08-2008 03:02 AM

Tried ESC, tried the X, tried Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and nothing.

Still not sure what is doing it.

How did you sign off before?

Obs311 10-09-2008 08:25 PM

I sing off regularly, and it's still having a problem.

Still say a port isn't closing.

Did you change the song you regularly sing? /endjoke

Eh, if its a port thing then somethings up with your computer. Have you tried it with a different account perhaps? The latest thing you did was install Bitdefender, could have something to do with that. Tried uninstalling? Its wierd, the port shouldn't remaing open if you were to have closed it completely...with task manager etc.

Turns out BitDefender ( my awesome virus scanner ), was the problem!

I uninstalled it, and now I don't have the problem

weird...

Why would a virus scanner do so?

It might have a firewall or something that monitors internet traffic. McAfee used to do that.
