Server hosting

as much as i doubt this would happen, id like to suggest releasing an independent server hosting software even with restrictions to increase the amount of server development activity, i know usually this would be a bad idea to the point where its just terribly stupid but from what i've noticed is most of graals profit comes from servers which are finish rather then being created this would serve as a bridge to increased player activity as well as a larger profit margin for unixmad if successful

I've always thought you should be able to host your own servers. I can do it in Minecraft, Terraria, and Starbound. I've always preferred this method of doing things. This also means when there are inevitably problems down the line, everyone can be mad at the owner instead of Graal as a whole. Since we wouldn't need hosting space we could also make servers free.

Paying for hosting when it comes to a game in Graal's state is insane. Even if some guy picks up this game and thinks it looks interesting, he's gonna see how dead it is and not want to invest in hosting space due to the low turnout he'll surely get. After all, it's unlikely his server, even if it was great, would lure in new players to Graal. We'd just see the currently low population of Graal's playerbase cut up even further.

I think even just re-doing the site and adding some pages to get more people to play with the developer tools, even just on their own offline, would do a lot of good.
