New Graal Client.

When the new Graal client releases, will it fix the Vista lag?

Tigairius 06-22-2009 12:28 AM

yes

Unkownsoldier 06-22-2009 12:34 AM

Here's the deal, on my 2000 xp windows desktop Graal ran as smooth as a girls skin, however on Vista, I walk so slow and constantly move slower and lag through minimum detailed/populated/scripted areas. So you are saying this will be fixed?

Tigairius 06-22-2009 12:36 AM

yes

Unkownsoldier 06-22-2009 12:37 AM

Great thanks, that means soon I wont have to go to full screen into 500 x 500 resolution just to stop a little bit of the lag on my 1200 x 800 screen.

Yay! I can't play because the lag is so bad with Vista.

Unkownsoldier 06-22-2009 01:08 AM

Moonie, I haven't seen you play since like 06 or 05.

CharlieM 06-22-2009 01:25 AM

Current client is 64bit compatible...on 64bit Vista and Windows 7 anyway. There's only the silly sound issue which Stefan could have easily fixed a long time ago but whatever.

CharlieM 06-22-2009 01:31 AM

Yes, I mean like it's going to be vista fix for 64bit and 32bit? I don't have much problems with it but some do, although sometimes my pc random disconnects from graal

Unkownsoldier 06-22-2009 03:03 AM

I have a 32 bit.. and it still lags.

CharlieM 06-22-2009 03:13 AM

64 bit doesn't lag as bad as 32 bit from what I've seen

How does a Dev like me get access to such a new client.

I was playing on Zodiac until I got my laptop with Vista on it, and lagged too bad.

I had to buy a new version of Windows Xp because If I'm doing development work with the Graal Client, Editor, and RC at the same time on Windows Vista the lag is immense.

Wow, thank goodness it doesn't lag like that for me...

We need to get an Intel-compatible version of Graal Editor aswell.
I cannot make levels anymore with my mac, so I need to get my old computer (PC) repaired -__- which will cost loads of money. Simply doing it because of Graal.

Become casual acquaintance with Dan, or someone he wants to impress.

Dan does not really have anything to do with the new client and I suppose he is kidding himself if he says he does.

fowlplay4 06-22-2009 05:25 PM

Well I guess I am waiting like everyone else then, but has the login screen changed in the new client? I'd imagine the login screen is partly scripted, and could use an aesthetic change or two.
