Gelat Sales/Trades

Are players allowed to trade/sell gelats in-game (e.g. for items or money)?

pig132 05-31-2009 07:56 PM

I would assume and hope so. That only increases profit

Makes it REALLY *** tho.

Of course if players want to do this not, but if the server enables such an option...

CharlieM 05-31-2009 08:25 PM

People do it, its probably allowed since CJ still gets the money from the gelets because those that sell the gelets keep buying them for items, in a sense its USDing but CJ earns the profit

Jugglernaut 08-23-2009 09:03 PM

I've done it before. That's how I'm Gold.

I did it on Unholy Nation. Streety himself supervised the trade LOL

Scary_Sock 08-23-2009 09:28 PM

Gabriel on Era said its illegal to me. Other FAQ's (This was before PRs on Era were brought back) said they didn't know. Im still confused, but I don't see anyone getting warning when they try to buy/sell gelats over game, and it should be legal.

Jugglernaut 08-23-2009 09:37 PM

It appears to be legal on UN and Zodiac.

I've seen numerous players advertise the buying and selling of Gelat Codes on Zodiac, and you already know from my previous post that Streety is obviously ok with it.

It's "legal" according to globals, would advise that they shouldn't come crying if they get scammed.

Agreed, I don't mind if players do it, however, if they get scammed i'm not going to go into the situation.

For me it goes under the 'buyer beware' policy.

USDing of anything has always been controverial and iffy at best. One serious problem with buying gelat codes from players though is if they get them through fraudulent means you could end up with your account banned for fraud. You have no recourse in those cases.

Sinkler 08-24-2009 04:56 AM

I always thought it was illegal because you're essentially doing it with real money.

Didn't someone use a random credit card number and buy like 1000 worth of gelats and buy people gold and stuff?

MysticX2X 08-25-2009 08:45 PM

Is it even possible to trade gelats? It wont let me or other people do it.

Pretty sure you need at least 1 or so gelats to complete a trade, perhaps that's why it didn't work.

oo_jazz_oo 08-25-2009 10:00 PM

I dont think you can trade gelats.
But you can trade the sms codes to turn in for gelats...right?

Soala 08-25-2009 10:05 PM

Of course trading "gelats" increase profits.
If some player can help others getting gold then it's really nice.

I often do it when I have a bit of money I dont use on my phone, and I trade sms codes for ingame money. That's not illegal at all.

Trading gelats for USD would be stupid, I mean seriously...Why would someone PAY REAL MONEY for gelats someone got with REAL MONEY.
Anyone tell me ?

Oh and the best way actually to GIVE gelats are skill games lol, you bet money, that person join, you leave the room, that person gets your gelats

So its pretty much USD'ing..

MysticX2X 08-26-2009 05:43 PM

Can't you get banned if someone gives you an sms code and it ends up where they probably make some claim with their phone provider?
