Contest: Old Tileset Levels!
 

Hm. Watch me get banned for posting this tileset.

Though, anyways! I'm going to hold my first contest! Let's see who can make the best outside level out of the following tileset (pics0.png).

The prize? I don't know. We'll talk if you win. Maybe you can test the Graal v4 client! (If it is allowed, it not, we'll think of a good prize!)

I guess maybe let this contest run till Friday, June 10, 2005.

It would be nice if people posted on this thread about which level is best!

it looks so much like zelda its neat though hmm think there would be alot of tile errors if i saved this over my pics1 and used it online?

How do I change my tileset to this one?

I doubt Wan would compete because he already is a Graal v4 Tester...though he might just do it to taunt you guys or make you try harder. :D

I got bored, I love the tileset.

nice level it looks wonderful with the tileset you used.

hehe, I was going for a nice and simple style.

This tileset is just perfect for oldschool level makers. I prefer the old school Zelda style of leveling (it's how I try to make my levels) and here's the tileset to match.

I personally like inside levels compared to outside levels.

This tileset and I did not get along very well.

Would it not just be possible to replace the tiles in a currently made level with these tiles and submit it as if you newly made it?

Why would it matter if they did? The goal is to display the best looking level with this tileset. Chances are you would need to adjust any level you've made to fit it, but if a currently made level of yours looked excellent with it, what is the problem with using it?

Looks like you won in a few places, but a good battle doesn't always go flawlessed, I see a few things that could be done better but I like it :)

Lets just leave it at I got bored. I'll enter the next one more competativly, I love using that tileset though ;)

It's a gorgeous tileset, the newer trees ruin it though. I wish someone would make a server with a tileset in that style... with the gigantic pixels... Mmmm...

I hate the newer trees. And the path tiles. I find that all the tiles are very hard on the eyes in the new set.

I found the old tileset to be more fun to play with than the new one. Less harsh on the eyes, as before.
