Graal... In 3D...
 

Before I explain my picture, I would like to say that this has nothing to do with Graal3D... =/


OK, well, I was working on this complicated 3D project for school, which is turning out quite easy, actually. I decided to take a break from that project, and thought it would be interesting to see what it would look like if I made a quick level and replaced the textures with Graal tiles... =/

I know that this isn't really that great, and you may not be able to tell that it has anything to do with Graal, but I used only Graal tiles as textures. The grass IS Graal grass, but it was shaded oddly, so it is just green now. The cliff is the graal cliff, and was also shaded oddly, and the house walls use castle tiles, while the door and roof of the house use normal house tiles.

Oh, and by the way, I did cel shade it... =/

Err, I guess it turned out pretty bad...
Maybe when I have more time, I'll do another one, and put more effort into it...

Thats quite cool. It you used better textures, not the pics1, like make them suited for 3D, it would be cool. As its stretched there.

I love the perspective anyway. And i don't know if you did it on purpose, but the lighting has a huge impact on the picture. It looks great :)

Ya, it really fits the graal cartoony style.
Maybe if you could get some help to make some better textures whilst keeping the cartoony feeling?

its pretty easy to do... i rushed that and made it for fun... ill make another one with the current tileset. k?

Erm... OK, I fooled around with it a bit more, and spent a bit more time on it, and it now looks a bit better, I guess... =/

Now you can tell that the house and cliff are graalish, the grass is a bit better, and I attempted a river, but it kinda looks a bit square-ish... =/

Not bad, but you didn't do much with it. I like the other guy's 3D Graphic better.

X_x That isn't really 3d... Well... Yeah, it is, but its just a texture slapped onto a flat surface... =/

If only I could get stefan to let me code stuff in the graal 3d engine. Only Kai would stand a chance against my mathematical prowess.

I liked the first pic better..

The second one looks like the textures are made from the Kingdoms tileset, and the waterfall looks more like a tube than a waterfall :megaeek:

It's simply applying textures to basic shapes. Even I can do that, and I am a complete ditz when it comes to graphics.

Go find yourself a basic 3D modelling program. Strata 3D isn't that bad, but it can be a pain to get it to do what you want sometimes.

Its pretty hard to make a 3d image on photoshop becasue ur working on a 2d surface rather than a program that is made to create 3d pictures.

I'll assume 3Ds Max 4
because I can, and the only other decent one is bryce, and you can't do that in bryce (maya or whatever doesn't count, no one uses it)

That looks really wierd...the perspective is all messed up. everythings fine up untill the beach where all of a sudden it looks like a top view (almost top view) instead of from straight on
