The end.

I am pretty sure that the opening post is discussing how Graal is under a decline of players, which it is, and it is still continuing to drop. Obviously such things concern the people who play on servers that are actually used to having a decent playercount, and saying as the issues that are being discussed have not really been addressed, it is sadly far from "the end" :)

The odds are 1/2.

...no those aren't the odds at all. That's like saying the odds of you dying tomorrow is 1/2 because you either live or die.

You are just proving my point there.

Mixed up the words in my head, the odds of Graal dying is not the same as the probability of Graal dying so your point is pretty much pointless.

'odds' is the synonym of 'probability'

They're not the same thing.

That's not how it works, because you don't know the probability of Graal dying to begin with. I'm not really a math person but a 15 second wiki-read shows you need to know the probability of something to predict it's odds. And incase you're as confused as I am when it comes to probabilities, odds, chance, etc, I'm pretty sure that there is not a 50percent chance of dying tomorrow just because you can either live or die.

I could simply reply that you neither, don't know how long it will live, you don't have any probability that it won't be dead in 2 years.
Thus the odds really are 1/2.

xAzerothx 12-15-2008 01:35 AM

Damn, Crono's got 4 of those green reputation thingys.

Darklux 12-15-2008 08:14 PM

This thread has just lost it's sense.
Can someone lead me to posts of "fulltime" CJ employes which should take part in this discussion, as they and obviously their decisions are part of the problem?

I can't notice any sign of CJ trying to save it's own game.

If you are not willing to work on this game, open source an older version without torque so dedicated people can work on it and offer hosting to make money.

I just can't see any official development really affecting the playercount - long promised features, devtools or whatever?
It's as if they are trying to make or keep the game as inattractive as possible.

CJ - if you try to hand over the development to your players (as they are obviously doing, as nearly all content, if it's a gold or a classic playerworld is contributed by players) do it - otherwise - for what are we ment to pay? What is your part in this to justify regular payments? Hosting??? Hosting prices are falling like stones to the ground, while subscription costs keep the same)

Yocas 12-17-2008 02:05 AM

The fact that you now have to pay monthly and can't buy a life time subscription really ruined Graal. Good thing this game is worth paying for.

sike

Good job Graal Team.

Angelu 12-17-2008 03:34 AM

Man i wish i had a Game where over 100 People pay for nothing XD
I would ROFL the whole day XD
Sorry Guys but its a little bit stupid to pay if you know you get nothing for the Money...

No you couldn't.

So what, you can't prove it will still be alive in 2 year.
I can use your own argument against yourself.
Anyway I'm tired of this argument, how about we stop.

You made the claim Graal wouldn't be around in 2 years time, so you have find the evidence to support it. Without evidence, you're claim fails.

It'd be a completely different story if Crono made the initial claim that Graal won't be dead in 2 years.

So, with that said...

FAILasdf

No it isn't, its on the one who first makes the claim.

It'd be a different story because if he made the claim, the burden of proof would be on him. You made the claim, so you need the evidence to back it up. That's just the way it goes.

For example, if I said "There's life on Jupiter", I'd need to evidence for my statement to hold up. You made a statement and you should have produced evidence for it.

Also, I can spell 'your' quite perfectly. Haven't you made a typo in your entire life? I guess not :whatever:

Take your trolling away from these forums :P
