It's double security. The Guild Leader has to login to Zone with his account first, and then to add/remove members this password will also be required. It's just double security for incase someone loses his password (this way the money of the Squad Team, including all members cannot be lost).

@minione: Its not the guild they would want, its the person's account. The guild would just be a bonus.

i prefer UN over zone, actually. i play zone on the occasion. i know more about UN than zone, and i know that zone would be ripping off UN's local guild system.
