Ok Mr. Literal! If you were to be even more literal, a double edged sword is a basically a sword with the pointy bits on both sides, no handle. Most commonly used in expressions like "Taking that option is a bit of a double-edged sword" because when using one in real life (I doubt they REALLY exist because they are a bit stupid) you would have a sword to kill someone with, but at the same time the other 'edge' would be cutting into your hand as you do so.
Anyway, I'm unsticking this thread because of V5 totally owning it. :frown:
