I think it's a server decision whether or not to allow players to idle or not. Since I remember when Malinko removed the disconnecting after # of minutes on UN.
|
Malinko was just trying to make it look like UN had a lot of players on it so they would log onto UN instead of one of the other servers. Then we started getting complaints about people having false online time because of it so I made him put the disconnecting back on.
It also made it more difficult for the GP's to spot people using mining bots since 80% of the server was idling anyway. At one point it was changed so that rc's didn't disconnect for idling because of the whole development issue but somewhere along the line that seems to have changed. |
You could always disable the default one and script your own that dictates its own rules and regulations on who is disconnected(serverwarped to login) and when, and what is considered 'not moving'.

I hate how sometimes I get an access violation when I get disconnected for not moving. that is so annoying.

Topic: If a bunch of people just sit there and idle. Players start to stack and stack and thus that means lag! Also it isnt fair really for people applying for things. People who hire usually check out hours. If someone has cable. They can gain hours all day 'erday. If someone has dial up. Well; you get the point :p |
if u disabl this u wil hav more playercount
|
ill disabl u corno!11!!

But really, you should be disconnected for not moving in a certain amount of time. If not, we would have ALOT of idlers in many servers. |
