Not to be a prude about this but what about the whole "players may not promote the use or distribution of illegal drugs" thing in the Rules of Conduct?

the only reason modern servers are based around guns is because a lot of servers have PK aspect to them. the most popular way to include PKing on a modern server is through guns/melee weapons.
