Here's what I've made so far, kiddies.
Play with it as you like, and post any errors you find! I'm not done with it yet, though!

A few key notes:
  • Many tiles were removed, I stated this in the first post.
  • I have added 'mountain' tiles, as seen in Zelda 3 on Death Mountain. Right now the background of the clouds is a teal color, I'll replace that when I know what I'm going to do with it.
  • I have also added 'forest' tiles, these are tall, bush-like tiles that go around tree's and such. Also added leaves.
  • House brick tiles are now actually tileable.

A house brick wall that makes sense when tiled.

o-o

Nice job, Dusty, looking good so far. I'll go scout for some things that need improvement as well :)

**Edit: I couldn't find the other inside corners for that on the original pics1, and it used to piss me off, so theres some.

And, I love the new forest tiles you made :D

Nice work and definitely a huge job to tackle but removing those ugly gray dungeon tiles is a mistake. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all. They at least made sense and were workable :D

DustyPorViva 01-22-2008 07:56 PM

I don't think I have ever seen them used anywhere's. In my eyes they were just too plain and boring. Either way, people make take the contents of this and rework it as they like.

How about diagonal castle walls like in Zelda 3?

Pimmeh 01-22-2008 08:31 PM

More Marble!!! MOAR MARBLE!
I like marble :(

DustyPorViva 01-22-2008 08:42 PM

I'm going to try to add diagonal castle walls, but space is getting limited now :/

Crow 01-22-2008 09:43 PM

Dusty, watch out about those snow cliff tile thingies you put where the gray dungeon tiles were. One of those tiles which is supposed to be blocked is actually on a non-blocking place :o

DustyPorViva 01-22-2008 10:01 PM

Those are cloud tiles, and since they'll be 'off-limits' in terms of being able to ever touch them(they're always divided from the walking area by cliffs), I don't think it'll be that much of a problem. But thanks for the heads up, I have come across a few tiles which are walk-able, though not intended to be.
I'll be adding posted changes later when I start working on it, though I'm curious, Crow, as to what your brick thing fixes? I didn't know there was a tile error with those.

Pimmeh 01-22-2008 10:34 PM

Please. PLEASE, make it in the new format, this is way too confusing!
