I may be speaking out of inexperience, but if someone were to hack the hosted webserver, couldn't it pose a major threat to the npc/gserver?

There's really not much to "hack" though, unless you (exploitable Admin panel, etc.) make it possible.

It'd be nice if we could POST information via requesturl or similar method instead of using a scripted webserver to display in-sync news updates.

I see this helping them a lot provide the Era Support Center to people whom are banned though.

Sure. It really just provides a web interface for any GS2 script and gets rid of any HTTP boilerplate that you would need to write.

It will be a pain writing a forum in GS2 though.
