Don't blame it on nostalgia. There's no doubt the game has decrease it's player content/quality over the years. They just don't care like they used to.

the players who have stayed don't have as much tenacity as the old ones in terms of playing graal itself. at least that's how i see it on classic servers

I am nostalgic as **** for the times when there were competent, dedicated staff hanging out somewhere online pretty much 24/7 and shooting around ideas and scripts and what not and there were updates to either the world or the engine every couple of days.

Also I guess for the times when I had a free supposedly-lifetime gold account
