Different Picks maybe?

What does the gk community think about having different picks for mining?

my idea was to have 3 different picks

Pickaxe
Gold Pickaxe
Mithril Pickaxe

now the regular pickaxe takes about 29-39 hits to break a rock. Maybe make the gold pick should take out the rocks in say 22-32 times. The mithril pick would take it out in like 17-27 hits? it's just an idea.

would this be too hard to script?

Actually, being a softer metal makes gold less likely to break (it would dent instead).

2K1 had different pickaxes, the strongest one being diamond.

What about adamant?

I'd like this, maybie it'll increase the amount of diamonds circulating through gk and also make mining for raw materials alot easier and less time consuming than it currently is. Perhaps phys level could affect mining somehow?

How about making a certain amount of phys required for the better picks?

Isn't there a graal workers pickaxe? I've never had any of the GW tools. I can't recall myself.

yes but they are the same thing just with a different gfx. I think after playing for so long and mining for a bagillion hours there should be a way to increase the speed at least a little of mining...

Would be neat if after mining so much you increase your skill level or something.

Yeah, physique level should lower the number of hits needed to break a rock...
