today while in my friends villa i was messin round with the lil bank chess thingy...then it hit me! why not add a general bank somewhere on 2k1? i think it would be awesome if there were a bank similar to the ones in classic with the atm and all that =p
maybe even an interest function could be added, like leave money deposited in a specific area untouched for lets say....30 days and u get back 10% at the end of the 30 days or somethin.

bah what do u people think?

There was already a general bank near Dustari a long time ago.

It was removed for a reason.

well the main reason they put player houses out is becuase you can sotre your money an sell keys an make more money...

I believe the main reason was because if there is a bank, pkers would flood the area around it and kill everything in sight. (just look at level13 on Classic.

Also, banks were brought up many a time... We were going to make a bank where people could have safes there, and thieves could rob and all that, but it would just bring too many complaints.

Personal house safes are better and you could rent rooms all over the island to have money put away everywhere

Would it be a good idea, considering that it defeats the object of making it hard to get money? I mean if you had interest, its all very well for those with alot of money, and they'll just keep getting more and more for nothing...... And then for those with a small amount, same idea, they'd end up rich for only waiting!!! Dun like it really...

the keyword was not touching it meaning once a transaction takes place from ur last deposit the 30 days will reset. therefore, no interest unless its untouched. and it will takes 9 months to just double ur money e_e

Its a reasonable idea, but I'm not sure. It's one of the things that really turns me off about some classic servers
