Give me some tips

I'm new to web design, but I've been making a website for a system new to Graal that I plan on releasing in the future. I made this from scratch, the layout and stuff was made by me, I didn't copy and paste from anywhere. I know it looks like myspace kind of (this will not be a social networking site), but as I said im new to web design and im really not that creative.

Click
Please give me any ideas, tips, etc. Keep in mind im new to this. Oh and don't mind the domain name it will be changed

I'd kick the bold hover effect you have going, the distorting of the text just looks bad when it's shrinking and growing over every hover. I'd say shrink the copyright stuff too, a bit distracting, and maybe blend the text color a little with the background. It's fine being there, but I don't think it should be noticed along with the content.

Since you're using php files, instead of loading each php file, making duplicates of the same page and just editing one part, you can simply pass the page in a variable in GET and then use include.

EDIT: ouch, noticed had some stuff outside the <body></body>, tsk tsk.

I had it like that at first, like "index.php?action='watever'" but I decided to change it

Why? Seems illogical to go the longer way on this one.

Novo will become famous soon enough
Not brown. White is a very clean color... Brown is... Well... Yea.

Links => Underline on mouseover, not bold... Bold text makes them all blehness. Or color the background on mouseover.

If you have a menu-bar, use unordered lists, and style it with CSS.
Also... The dotted lines seems awful... The site itself makes me think I need glasses. Everything is a big blur. Not very attractive.

As for copyright, just stay simple. Two fonts lower is acceptable. What it is right now is way too big. Put a year there too!

So tired.

PHP & MySQL make a good couple. Ruby probably makes good sites too.

Also... 'graalians' is spelt 'graalians', not 'gr aalians'.

Oh wow, a Graal website that isn't green, looking good! Like everyone else though, I too have some nitpicking to do.

First off, I have a strong disliking for the blur on the newbie head in the banner/logo, it looks like Unholy Nation's graphics.. I think that speaks for itself. Another thing I dislike is the "Register" section. I really really dislike registering for websites, especially ones that are Graal-centric. I'm not saying you're not trustworthy, but phishing and other z-list "hacking" activities are common, sadly. I'm not saying you're forcing me to register either, heh, but it puts me off the site.

I noticed this too. I think it'd be nice if the words were locked in place, then you wouldn't have them moving whilst being hovered over. Like Novo said though, underlining is good.

I can't really think of anything else at the moment, but I hope you keep going and I'm looking forward to seeing updates.
