Dont quote me on this... but I think that if you have a trough it doesnt eat as much.

Like, your horse -might- eat 2% of its trough in a day, while it'll gobble up 10 'foods'

Damix2 will become famous soon enough
The problem is horses don't eat if you are not there, but they do lose life, so say you come back and they are at 1%, they might die before they get to the trough.

True - that needs to be fixed.

Either do the other suggestion that was mentioned before and have horses log off with you, or give them the IQ to make it 10 paces across the room to eat.

Haha, I can definatly agree with this, however horses left in obscure places such as outside world, dungeons, trading centers, and shops should die because all the do is block players and annoy them.
A horse should only be allowed to eat in places where they won't do such things.

It was made especially so that they will starve quickly if they are abandoned.
That's to save us from drowing in pets. All of you know about annoying pets laying on you in Bomboria.
It's very simple: use a trough and store the pets in your house. They will start to eat when you enter the room. Ensure that you not leave the room right away. I lost 2 horses in the age of one and a half year by that mistake.

I like the logging off with you idea. Always have, actually. That way I don't have to deal with 10 or so in the wrong place that someone carelessly left behind.

Yes, let them log off with you. No one except you uses them anyway.

this idea would be much better, that way if you leave it in your house it can actually eat. maybe make it so they will only eat inside player houses and the stables, when your not around. it does stink having to run to your stables then wait 15 mins just to make sure that all your horses have eaten.
