how is this difficult

some people act like we've never had a functioning login/serverlist before. dont get me wrong, im all for new things (as long as they're good), but this is from ~summer 2001 and 10 years later still looks better than anything we've had since v4 came out

Playable login server sounds really lame. I can't imagine it being done well.

Would it need to be done well? It'd practically be a giant chat room and that's it. I can't see it getting messed up too much. Hell, they could just copy over iPhone Graal.

If people spam, add an anti-spam class for players.
Use your custom curse filter
Allow all heads n such to be used for that server alone for preview demonstration purposes

I'm glad you chose that example because those two things are like the worst two things to put together. Even the bubblegum flavoured kids toothpaste makes orange juice taste terrible.

Simple, they make Crest Orange Whitening Refresh, which an ingredient is orange juice concentrate and fluoride. It didn't taste bad either. Anything is possible, you just have to either believe in it or dream it. If you hinder yourself by saying 'can't' your are closing off a whole world of possibilities. A new login would be nice. It should do what a login screen should do and be able to download the client/dev tools/maybe even betas? Allow for chat rooms for friends to talk, but not necessarily have a player, but a start screen and a 'extended' playerlist, with IRC chat.
