Well the new community name is more flexible, it could even be renamed although we don't plan that yet. You choose it whenever you want and then that name is displayed in Graal and in the forums.

If you ask me, you should actually display the community name in the profile instead of the account name. And also add the community names to the friendslist, so you dont get like "Wtf?" when you are going through your buddylist and want to sort some peeps out :/

By the looks of it, the community name uses the same database as the old account names.

Any account names which were taken before are not usable as community names (which makes sense of course). The problem is so many names are taken. As I said in another topic, any accounts which have only ever been trial and are more than a year old should be deleted to free up the names.
