Ec Tents

This is just an idea i thought up within about 20 seconds lol
Anyways i just was thinking for 1 ec you can craft a tent?
Its like a little tiny 1 manned room, big enough for a chest and a bed.
Lockable and you can pick up and place wherever. However it has con and needs to be repaired with cloth. If it dies it will fall on the floor as an item and anyone basically walking past could grab it.
Tents are repairable even if collapsed.

Reasons this be good?

(1) If quitting graal for a time, put all items inside, then pick up tent and log off. So when u come back u got something to come back to.
Perfect solution to item losage from inactivness.

(2) Nice little house for homeless ppl hehe

(3) People who cannot be bothered to build house.

Its a nice little base for you to use wherever even on main island. However there are restrictions to where you can place and these are also applied in towns. you must place quite a certain distance away form a town in the 'wilderness'.

Maybe you work for mmt and you are a supplier? great place to set your tent is by the fishing lake maybe?

There is quite a lot of potential in these things and they would not flood the landscape. There is a lot of unoccupied land where it is nothing but bomy upon bomy so these tents should not change the landscape much.

Also make it a Gold+ thing to get those trials subscribing!

Well it would almost require something like a boat then.

Main reason i want tents is so if i decide to take a vacation i don't need to worry about my items in my house. i can put everything even furniture into my tent, close it. Put it in inventory (cannot walk fast at all with full tent) and i can log off knowing my items are safe and i will have something to come back to.

When i come back and say all my houses gone? I open tent and go inside, then i can grab my nessasary items for mining ect then leave tent and start to build myself a new house. its certainly a lot better than buying 5 accounts which was suggested X.x

Well, yea, a tent would be neat to have. But how would we get this into GK? Staff really don't like to look at open ended ideas too much, usually you almost have to help them along and do the work for them. It's not so bad actually, what you want to do is more so have a portable/packable mini house. My guess would be to use a random level generator like the ships use, and then just have some sort of portable kit to set up your tent. Scripts used for examples would most likely end up being from boats and houses really.

Maybe a bank where you could store up to, oh 500 KG of items (just an example idea) would be more plausible for GK.

I love this idea, It'd be really easy to get the gfx for this (Hey wait a sec, aren't there reasonable looking tents on Zone? Couldnt we use their gfx?)
and we could easily make a funky lil' gani of the player unzipping/zipping the tent to get into it :P Nice idea.

There are two gfxs of the Zone tent, one for when people are inside and one for when they are not... could we not use the same system for our tents? And also is this the tent you meant, Chris?

This is actually a pretty good idea. I would personally like to be able to store things away in case my house falls.

this seems to be quite a good idea. any word on the tent gfx yet?
