Gold account for RC?

Hello, I just wanted to know if you need to have a gold account to have an RC on a server.

No, you don't. All you have to do is download the file 'Remote_Controle.exe' when you're going through the graal setup. RCs work for all playerworlds, but your graal subscribtion(s) do effect where you can go with it. So lets say you have a normal P2P account. You can go to any Classic playerworld and use your RC. If you have VIP, you can go to Classic,Hosted, and private playerworlds. If you have Gold, then you can go to Graal Kingdoms and Zone and any Classic playerworld with it.

Of course, you do need to be staff in order to actually logon a playerworld with your RC.

Simplified:

To log your RC on classic servers, you just need a simple p2p.

To log your RC on hosted or hidden servers, you need VIP or Gold.

I think that is ridiculous. How is it fair that you have to upgrade your account to help develop a server. They player has to purchase a server, and anyone who wants to contributed without going through a third party to upload the work has to upgrade an account aswell.

yeah i agree, it's pretty stupid to HAVE to pay to WORK for a graal server which will end up making graal money ANYWAY.

I've wasted well over a hundred dollars for gold or vip access all to work on playerworlds.

There's already something that exists where the top three playerworlds don't have to pay their every six monthly fees (if I'm correct).

Perhaps hosted pays 30 dollars to stay up and classic pays nothing?

I think it should be like RCs can work anywhere, and your subscribtion only effects your client.

That was actually put into effect?
How do they determine the top three playerworlds then? Wasn't there going to be some sort of elaborate system of voting and such?
Then again, that's a couple years back, and I was never interested in it anyway, so my memory of it may be a little distorted.

www.graal.net

It used to be updated daily or weekly, I'm not sure how often it's updated now.

I agree... I have spent a lot having to keep upgrading to work on my own server, and others. A lot of the good NATs don't have VIP either and good NATs are hard to find... I got a few willing to work but either I or them are going to have to upgrade thier accounts, which is stupid. I have to pay money to help Develop graal, what if everyone decided not to pay and no new servers came out each year or so... Graal would eventually die. So we get charged to help keep graal alive and developed Oh well

I wonder if Stefan would make it so regular accounts can get on Dark Nations if I gave him a few extra bucks

Never hurts to ask or put it in 'Future Improvements' forum. This actually sounds like a good idea. I'm sure a few more Playerworlds would be on the classic tab, or atleast development might be quicker.
