I think skill is determined by how good you are but not just in the sense of killing people, or getting crazy ultimate stats, I think it goes by how well you are as a whole.
My Skill List
Rambo Style: The ability to fight as a single man unit, although this is commonly used, and how people become known for skill, it is somewhat challenging to begginers in a sense they have no experience with handling multiple enemies at once.
Team Combat: The ability to fight as not just a single rambo person, but also to back-up and help or protect a team mate.
Sparring(Commonly used): The ability to fight a one on one match, agianst another opponent, displaying both, dodging, and aiming techniques.
~As Sparring I mean matches not Spar Rate, as Spar Rating is easily gained, by killing any single player.
Stats(Commonly Used): The ability to show your overall ratio of kills to death, although this method of skill display is more randomly luck then skill.
~The stats method in skill is something, that I do not think is an efficient method of skill display, as anyone could lame for perfect stats while some with, quote on quote, "crappy stats" could possiably beat the person with "perfect stats".
Intelligence: Although maybe not entirley related to skill, I think that the ability to know the "Spread", "Reload Time", and "Ammo Clip" plays a major role in combat.
Deathmatch/Events(Commonly Used): This method shows how you do overall agianst many people, and also how you take on consecutive matches, showing your durability.
~This is one method that is entirely debatable if it is skill or just pure luck.

Also, if you wish to rate yourself on the Current Skill System be my Guess, just simply follow thise format; 1/3-Poor(1 Point), 2/3-Average(2 Points), 3/3(3 Points)-Great, so it should look something like this,
Rambo Style: 2/3
Team Combat: 2/3
Sparring: 3/3
Stats: 2/3
Intelligence: 3/3
Deathmatch/ Events: 2/3
Then you would add them up, My Skill is 14 Points.
The Rating is,
6 Points- Poor
12 Points- Average
18 Points- Great
P.S.
I know this may not be the best way to measure skill, but this thread will be something to rate yourself on for fun, or to use to find your weak points and strengthen them. In addition, If all I see are many "Eighteens" then alot of people are not being too honest. |
