Generally speaking, after 15 minutes of idling I'm not starving to death. I really don't get scurvy and other dietary diseases after idling for 15 minutes either.

Basically, the gist of what I'm saying is that this is ridiculous.

Yea, now try that little experiment with lower health. It really is rediculous

I think the whole point here is that even without low health he lost 100 food in two minutes. Forget the low health suction, food goes down at ridiculous rates even if you're healthy and safely away from battle...in other words...Bored.

I think his point is that ~20 minutes would drop you from full to near empty without a sustinence amulet. That means the average normal person without magical items needs to eat every ~20 minutes to not get hunger related diseases.

Oooo such an old problem
Way back when...when I first made my character... you have NO idea how many times I restarted...

I made my character countless number of times hoping for the usual....
decent stats...scrolls that seemed kind of usefull...
but no matter how good those were, I found myself throwing them away.
why?

I needed to start with an ammy of sustenance.
Especially for those starting out the game, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY to survive otherwise. The mechanics of the game make it impossible.
