Tiles

These are some tiles I've been working on over the past few weeks.
They are still very much a WIP.
The setting is early 20th century city docks.
Looking for constructive criticism.

Looks like a good start Docks have a lot of black tho compared to the rather pastel street/sidewalks.

A few updates on the wooden dock portion.
Not so happy with the look of the cobble stone. (Ideas are welcome)
Criticism,Edits,Suggestions are all appreciated.

I will use this thread to post updates as I progress.

Over all I think what you've done so far looks good and I enjoy the soft tones. I believe you need to do something to make your brick walls visually "pop," though, as they seem to lack depth and texture to some extent.

Actually, the soft tones were inspired, in large part, by Sandz' pixel work and the new Delteria tile set.
Thanks for your comment. The brick wall is on my to do list.

Good start, few things you could think about adding:
Sea moss around the dock parts, cracks in the shore-wall/waterlines with small crustations growing.

As for the cobble stone: http://www.blwg.nl/mossen/korstmosse...r/sea_dyke.jpg
Think about a dyke maybe..

If you're doing dock yards then fencing like here: http://www.tampabaydocksforrent.com/...ck_harbour.jpg

Hope this helps you out a bit..
